Most of you might be knowing that you can add different applications to your orkut profile. Orkut added this functionality last month. Earlier the no. of applications were around 15-20 but these days the no. of available applications are more than 100 and it is increasing day by day.

Here are 5 applications i found useful to share with you:

1. Superscrap : Bored of simple scraps on orkut!!! Then this application is for you. This application lets you send scraps in some nice handwriting type fonts with customized background. There are lots of backgrounds to choose with. Send a superscrap now.

2. SMS Me: Now you can send an SMS message to your friend if he’s not online. This service is for users of India. You just need to verify your mobile no. and then you can send and recieve SMS’s for free. SMS delivery is quick. SMS your friends now.

3.  Family Tree: Build your Family Tree using this application. You can also add persons who are not on orkut and find those who are not on your friend list. Start building Family Tree now.

4.  Flickr Search and Share: With this application, you can search for photos on flickr and share them with your friends. You can also directly set one of the search results as your profile photograph. Search Flickr now.

5. FotoFlexer: Fotoflexer has been one of my favorite online image editing tools, Now this tool is available as an orkut application. You can add tons of effects to your images and also you can perform lots of editing through an intuitive interface.
