Tired up of slow loading of web-pages on your Firefox 2.0? I am sorry but you can’t improve the server’s response. But what if i tell u something really worth? Just try out this trick for Firefox 2.0.

Though you can’t help the slow response of server but on the client side you can prevent your Firefox 2.0 from processing unnecessary information from the server, thus accelerating the loading of the web-page.Just follow these steps and you are done with your new ‘avatar’ of Firefox 2.0.

By activating the pipelining mode you can accelerate the loading of pages.This avoids the unnecessary information exchange between your browser and web-server.

Firefox 2.0 about:config

Type “about:config” in the Firefox 2.0 address bar and press Enter

  1. In the ‘Filter’ field, type pipelining.
  2. Double click on the option network.http.pipelining in order to pass its value to True.
  3. Again double click on the option network.http.proxy.pipelining.
  4. Once again double click on the option network.http.pipelining.maxrequests then set the value at 100 in the dialogue box which appears. Click on OK button to confirm changes.
  5. Then start again Firefox to apply the modification.

Observe the difference in speed of loading of web-pages before and after.
