Web 2.0 is perhaps one of the most widely misused words over the globe. We use it with every new web application that arrives. But here is a complete insight into defining web 1.0, web 2.0 and upcoming web 3.0 standards.

Resourceful Idiot is of the view that during Web 1.0, the content was converted to digital format and used over web which is still going on. Web 2.0 is socializing the data of web 1.0 using social networking, RSS feeds, web API’s etc. Web 2.0 is still very active. Calling AJAX or JavaScript a part of Web 2.0 is incorrect as they were available in Web 1.0.

Web 3.0 would comprise integration of data across websites to consume data effectively which is yet to arrive.
