The big daddy of the gaming world is back with a bang and this time it has broken all previous records by cashing in more than $500 million in its first week of release. According to take-two interactive the makers of gta, it sold about whooping 3.6 million units on its opening day alone , generating about $310 million in sales globally.It easily overtook the previous daily record of $170 million in sales which was set by Halo 3 last year.But with all this huge success some controversy also follows.

But MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) has launched a protest against gta 4 demanding it to be rated as an adult game because there is a part in the game in which the players have to drive drunk which is a violent crime and not a game as stated by them.
