FLVPlay is the Adobe AIR based nifty freeware application which lets you watch YouTube videos directly from your desktop. FLVPlay provides an intutive interface using which you can search YouTube videos using keywords and sort them by relevance, recency, popularity and ranking. You can also access someone’s videos on YouTube by entering his YouTube username.

Moreover, it also allows to save the videos as .flv files to your hard disk.To Play the flv files you’ll need Flv Player. FLVPlay is available for both Windows and Mac platforms. It requires Adobe AIR installed which is a cross platform runtime for rich internet applications.
