It generally happens that we don’t get the required result when we click one of the outputs of our text based query in any text based search engine. The reason to this is very simple, that is we cannot see what is there in the result before clicking it. Searchmi and viewzi are visual search engines that provides a solution to the above stated problem. Let’s see how do they do it.
When you enter your text query in searchme or viewzi the result is not in the simple text rather both the engines provides you with the screen shots of the result generated. So now you can actually see that what is contained in the result. For eg. if you enter olympics 2008 as your text query in searchmi, then you will get the following screenshots as a result. To open the required site, right click on the screen shot to open in new window.

You can click on the arrows’ on either side for next or previous result. Searchme also has a number of categories to restrict your search to a particular type.
Now for the same query the result in viewzi will be as follows

Viewzi provides us with different views. As you can see in the image above that we have selected 4 source view(see arrow). In this view it gathers results’ from google, yahoo, ask and msn. There are many views that we can select, the options for different views are available at the top of the page(see the top of image).
Both viewzi and searchme are currently beta versions.
