Visual search is becoming more popular day by day. I have discussed some other visual search engines in my earlier posts. But now it’s yahoo’s turn, as they have added this new feature to their search engine. Actually yahoo is providing more simplestic visual search. It provides this feature with the help of new concept called glue pages. Let’s understand it more clearly.

Glue page combines the general text result with the visual search result. So now you have both the results on a single page, which gives you more options to choose from. For example if you search for harry potter in yahoo search then you will get the following results

As you can see in the image above that on the left side there are normal text results, and on the right side there are visual results. Related pages is also a new feature added to this concept. You will find the option of related pages on the top of the image just below harry potter. Related pages gives you the result related to you query. As in this case it suggests ron weasely , harry potter book etc.

It also displays yahoo answers related to your query if there are any. Like in this case you will see the following answers at the bottom right side of the same page.

As this feature is still in beta version, so you might not find the visual results of every query. This works perfectly for queries based on famous things.This feature is currently available only in yahoo india search engine.
