Frustrated of your PC’s hanged response?

It is very common bug in Windows that it hangs up sometimes while working. The same problem is encountered with Internet Explorer. Its really painful to restart the system every time the explorer hangs. This problem could be overcome with Explorestart.

Explorestart is a free utility from NirSoft that simply restart explorer and Internet explorer. When you run this tool, all the instances of explorer (explorer.exe) and Internet Explorer.

A few days back I was away to a distant place for some personal work. There I felt like writing some posts for Technotraits, so I went to a cafe(as i had not taken my laptop along-with ). I had once read somewhere about the key-loggers, the software that run on a computer in the background and stores your passwords. I was afraid that key-loggers could be installed on the computer that i was about to use. This thought was making my worries worse.

Firefox 3.1 alpha released

It was expected to be released in early august but it has arrived early. Firefox 3.1 is nicknamed as Shiretoko. The release note says that current users of Mozilla Firefox should not use Shiretoko Alpha 1 but I have found it to be stable. One of the most eye catching features that has been added is the new tab switching interface which  allows for page thumbnails to be browsed when switching. The other major feature is the enhancements to the syntax used for searching in the Smart Location Bar.

After $2500 car, India is developing a $10 Laptop

A laptop for just $10??? Yes its true, India is developing a laptop worth $10 after creating worlds cheapest car. The news was confirmed by the Indian Minister of Human Resource Development D. Purandeswari in New Delhi on Tuesday. The laptop will target higher education applications. The research for this project is being carried out at Indian Institute of Science (IIS), Bangalore and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. A few years back Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) introduced a $100 laptop for students, which is still the cheapest laptop in the world but (more…)

Google Maps Rolls out Simplified Interface

Google Maps today rolled out its new and redesigned interface which is much more easier to use than earlier version. The new design focuses more on the Search function and the tabs underneath the search bar are removed. Removing tabs has made interface more easy to use and less confusing.
