A laptop for just $10??? Yes its true, India is developing a laptop worth $10 after creating worlds cheapest car. The news was confirmed by the Indian Minister of Human Resource Development D. Purandeswari in New Delhi on Tuesday. The laptop will target higher education applications. The research for this project is being carried out at Indian Institute of Science (IIS), Bangalore and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. A few years back Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) introduced a $100 laptop for students, which is still the cheapest laptop in the world but it is also 10 times costlier than India’s $10 laptop. The laptop will surely increase computer literacy around the world especially in places where computers are very hard to afford.
