Its competition time for the biggest web rivals. If My Yahoo rolled out its redesigned interface, how could Google lag a step behind? To make the web appear a more competitive ground, Goole News tested its new design couple of hours ago. In this way Google reminded Yahoo that Google is second to none.
Once you log in, the new interface personalizes all the sections, not just the front page. Also you can switch to the non-personalized version to see the differences.

All the sections can be personalised by the user according to his choice in tems of language, number of results displayed etc..

The following changes you will note on Google News:
- The homepage shows a list of “developing stories“.
- The Sci-Tech section, with more photos.
- Front-page sections can be minimized and look like iGoogle gadgets.
- Google News clusters prominently display the main title.
