Here’s the today’s tweak.

How to say ‘No To All’ When copying files?

Did you ever notice that while copying files from one folder to other, if the files you are copying already exist with same name in the new location, Windows XP will give you an alert to whether replace all existing files with new ones using ‘Yes to All’ option, but the downside is it does not provide any ‘No To All’ option.

No to All while copying files

What if you have a lengthy copy operation partially finished and you wish to restart it? If you use the ‘Yes to All’ option it’ll recopy every file, thus wasting time to overwrite already existing similar files. Annoying?

But here’s a solution, click on ‘No’  while pressing ‘Shift’ key, it’ll execute ‘No to All’ option for already existing files in same folder. But it’ll again ask you if it encounters a new folder. Follow same procedure to keep already exisitng files.

This problem does not exist in Windows Vista as it provide you with a ‘No to All’ like option.
