The month of July has been great for spammers. According to Google Apps Security and compliance Team, July 08 saw the maximum number of spam attacks on Google’s e-mail services with July 24 getting a highest of 10 million spam emails in a day.
One of the popular spam messages has been the one in which a user is sent a link inĀ e-mail, clicking on which will download malware to their computer.
Another popular spam message was the one that looked like CNN newsletter. These e-mail contained lots of links and some of them were malicious. I’ve been getting these e-mail regularly since past 15 days and they are still arriving in Spam box.

Thanks to Google’s Powerful Spam Filters, that automatically filter out messages like these as Spam. But it may not be the scenario in all cases. So, users are advised to exercise some precaution while clicking any link in the e-mails they receive.
