New Google Desktop focuses on Performance

Google today released Google Desktop 5.8 with improved performance and better management of gadgets.
The major improvements in newer Google Desktop are:
1. Reduced Memory Usage: Google Desktop now consumes lot less memory as it has been optimized for performance similar to Google Chrome.

2. Better Gadgets: Google Desktop Gadgets now support flash content with which developers can create lightweight gadgets. Also, Google Desktop will monitor activity of gadgets and will let you know if one of the gadgets is eating up system resources.
3. Better Outlook Support: Google Desktop Search will cover more Outlook Folders than before. Great news for all Outlook fans!!
