Opera has inbuilt bittorrent client with which you can download from torrent sites. The bittorrent support is enabled by default in Opera. Though this feature is useful but it can be annoying in case you want to use your favorite torrent client which you have configured depending on your requirements.
Also the torrent client of Opera doesn’t let you control much of its settings as another torrent client would. Here’s how to bypass Opera’s Bittorrent client to use your favorite torrent software:
1. Type opera:config in address bar of Opera and press Enter.
2. Now click on Bittorrent and uncheck the Enable checkbox and then save your settings.
This should disable Bittorrent client of Opera and you are now free to use other torrent client.

I’ve been using Opera for a long time and haven’t noticed it before. I used to “Copy Link Address” and add it to the torrent client. Thanks for the share.
