Opera 9.6 today moved out of beta and is now available for download. The new version lets you preview RSS feeds in a well formatted column layout. The column layout automatically adjusts depending on your window size.
Besides RSS Preview feature, other major enhancements in this release are:
1. Synchronize Search Engines and Type History: Opera Link now also lets you synchronize your typed history(whatever you type or select in address bar) and Custom Search Engines across multiple computers.
2. Better E-mail Management: The inbuilt mail client of Opera just got better. You can now ignore an e-mail and all threads corresponding to that e-mail will be ignored. You can even ignore any of your contacts so that e-mail received from ignored contacts is not shown as unread.
3. Low Bandwidth E-mail Client: E-mail client also features a low bandwidth mode which will make accessing e-mail for those on dial-up connections a bit faster. For IMAP mode, it’ll just synchronize new messages and won’t download attachments unless you request. For POP, it’ll fetch only first hundred lines of e-mail messages unless you request full message.
