If you are a Firefox add-ons lover, then you might have come across a situation when you find yourself helpless to restart browser to see the newly installed add-ons working. Or you might have changed some Firefox setting or uninstalled some add-ons that require restart of Firefox. Firefox does not provide a direct option to restart it without losing your open web pages in case you prefer to start Firefox afresh with a blank page.
But wait, there are two solutions one in the form of Firefox add-on and other without add-on.
1. The Add-on solution to Restart Firefox
QuickRestart is a Firefox add-on that ‘ll add a button on the top bar clicking on which will restart Firefox. The Restart option is also accessible in File Menu or shortcut junkies may use Ctrl+Alt+R to restart Firefox.

2. No Add-On solution
You can set Firefox to remember your last session from Options under Tools menu. Just select the option under Startup in Main tab of options panel.

Using this setting, you can simply close Firefox from close button and restart it but I personally like to start Firefox afresh with a blank page so i ‘d prefer the add-on way to restart firefox.
