With Blu-Ray as the next gen high definition video format, playing Blu-Ray movies on your PC will surely require a fair amount of processing power and graphics acceleration to render the high definition content. CyberLink has created a tool named Blu-Ray Disc Advisor that lets you check whether your system will be able to play Blu-Ray Disc or not. If you would like to check your PC for Blu-Ray support, download and install it and run the scan.

Results are divided into two parts, Basic and Advanced. Basic Playback tells that whether you’ll be able to playback Blu-Ray discs or not and Advanced Playback tells about whether your hardware supports advanced Blu-Ray features like Picture-in-picture and Internet interaction built within some Blu-Ray movies.
