Global Internet Users Surpass 1 Billion

ComScore, the global Internet Information provider has released Internet usage stats for December 2008 according to which total number of Internet users have surpassed 1 billion which makes more than 15% of the global population. Out of these 1 billion users, the top 10 countries according to number of Internet users are:
| China | 180 million |
| United States | 163 million |
| Japan | 60 million |
| Germany | 37 million |
| United Kingdom | 36.6 million |
| France | 34 million |
| India | 32 million |
| Russia | 29 million |
| Brazil | 27.6 million |
| South Korea | 27 million |
