Though address aka awesome bar of Firefox 3+ is already very handy and useful but there is always space for improvement. Here’s a little add-on for Firefox that adds a bunch of new buttons to Firefox Address bar which will save you time doing pretty useful tasks easily.

The function of each button starting from leftmost next to RSS icon is:

1. The copy URL button lets you copy URL of the page with singe click, no more selecting and then copy pasting. Also, if you click on it with Alt key pressed, then it’ll open your default mail client with subject as the copied URL.

2. The next button is to shorten URLs, just click on it to shorten URL in the address bar and once you have done that right click again on it, and you can now send shortened URL by e-mail or tweet it on twitter or simply copy it.

3. The search icon button will let you search the currently opened site using Google, Right click on it to type your query.

4. The Up button will take you one level up in site currently open with single click and double click will land you on to the home page of the current website you are viewing.

5. Tags button allows you to bookmark current page and also apply a tag to your bookmark with single click without having to type in tag name while bookmarking.

6. If you are on a FAQ page like shown above whose URL ends up with a numeric value, the increment/decrement button will increment or decrement that numeric value and open the page with new URL. Useful while viewing forums to see next forum topic.

7. The last button lets you surf anonymously using phproxy.

And besides this cool functionality, you can customize the behaviour of your buttons and control which buttons are displayed through Options panel of this add-on.

You can specify a custom search operator, change URL shortening service(tinyURL is default), change Proxy server to use and much more.
