A Report from BBC NEWS says that broadband speed of whooping 100Mbps is being provided at some housing development in North London. This housing development has been wired with fibre and the residents have access to phone, TV and broadband over the network.
Well nobody is actually being offered the speed of 100Mbps subscription but the residents are paying for 8,16 &32Mbps but they can press a button called ‘boost’ to increase their speed upto 100Mbps. The developers don’t think the demand really is of 100Mbps so they are charging £1 for 30 minutes.
On a certain speed test the download speed of 78 Mbps and upload speed of 50 Mbps was achieved, so one could download movies within a few minutes. I think this will really change the way we look at internet and broadband.
Have you experienced higher speeds of broadband than most of the people, do tell us in the comments.
