While browsing through your favorite websites, you might want to know about other websites that provide similar content as the site you are visiting. Here are three Firefox Add-ons that let you do the same.

1.Alexa Related Links

The Alexa Traffic Rank toolbar is quite popular although it does not always provide you with the correct rankings. But along with the traffic toolbar at the bottom, it also adds a tab on the File Menu toolbar known as Related Links. When you click on it, it gives you a drop-down list of websites that are similar to the one you are visiting. You can click on more related links if you are not satisfied with the lists that it provides. 

2.Similar Web

Similar Web is another Firefox Add-on that gives you a list of similar websites or similar pages. It stays as a button in the navigation toolbar after installing. Every time you visit a web page it creates al list that cover the similar content. It has more customizable settings than Alexa. When you click on the button, it will open the sidebar that will contain the list. You can close the sidebar whenever you want and you can even place it on the right side of the window. You can adjust the size of the icons that appear in the list. You can also suggest a similar website to make the list even better.

3.Yoono

 Yoono is social media tool built as a firefox extension that lets you socialize you browser. It allows you to stay connected with your friends at social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Friendfeed. Yoono comes with several widgets for customizing your page. One of them is the discovery widget. It finds the related websites that are similar to the one you are browsing and will display the result in the sidebar. You can easily share your discoveries across the social networks.

I found these Firefox add-ons to be very useful in discovering new and cool websites. Among these three I found Similar Web to be the best recommending add-on for finding similar content.
