CloseAll Sometimes, you have a lot of windows open on your desktop but feel tired to hit close button on each and every window, then CloseAll is what you need. It is a tiny little application(just 18KB) for Windows  that flashes close signal on all open windows and instantly closes all the open windows with a click of button.

Once you have downloaded and extracted the zip file somewhere on your hard drive, place a shortcut to CloseAll on Desktop. Right Click on it and choose Send to > Desktop(create shortcut).

Now, one way to close all open windows would be to go to desktop by hitting Win+D and then click on the shortcut to CloseAll. But the other geeky way around is to set up a hotkey to trigger CloseAll. Just right click on CloseAll desktop shortcut and choose Properties.

CloseAll Hotkey

Under Shortcut tab, go to Shotcut key and hit one of the keys on your keyboard, e.g. if you hit X, then the hotkey assigned will be Ctrl+Alt+X. You can choose any key you want and hit the combination Ctrl+Alt+[your key] when you wish to instantly close all the open windows.

It does not consume any system resources as it just flashes Close signal on all open windows when it is executed.
