If you are a Facebook fan, then now you can access your and your friends’ life stream directly from your desktop. Facebook now provides a desktop client based on Adobe AIR platform that’ll let you access Facebook on the go.
With Facebook Desktop, you can view the middle column of your Facebook home page. You can keep up with the recent activity of your friends, add comments to their posted items or hit the Like link just as you do on Facebook home page.
On the user experience end, the application is a downer as it only shows the activity stream which is usually full of quizzes and applications your friends have used and the font used for display is ugly Time New Roman with no option to customize looks. It also eats up a lot of memory around 150Mb. Since this the first version, hopefully, Facebook will improve it in next version.
