Firefox usually flies down a long web page when you scroll it down. If you wish to scroll down slowly, then hold down Alt key while scrolling, Firefox will scroll web page at a much slower and smoother pace.
Slowly scrolling a web page can let you easily go through long content pages and you can easily scan long blog posts, Wikipedia pages or search results pages.
