Check if Your PC Can Run Windows 7

If you haven’t tried out Windows 7 RC or Beta yet and are wondering whether your hardware will be able to run Windows 7 with its eye-candy features, then use the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor tool from Microsoft.
It’ll scan your computer hardware and will give you a report to let you know whether your computer will be able to handle Windows 7 or not. If not, then it can recommend hardware upgrades you can make to support Windows 7.

Before using this tool, make sure the hardware you use regularly like USB mouse, web cam etc. is connected so that their compatibility can be checked.
Check Support for Virtual XP Mode
Since Windows 7′s virtual Windows XP Mode requires hardware virtualization support, there was a bit confusion on what type of systems support hardware level virtualization. Here’s a little tool called Securable, that can find out support for hardware level virtualization. I tested one of my older systems and here’s the result.
