Youtube is always trying to enhance the user experience, this time it is experimenting on the 3D videos. The videos have an optional 3D dropdown box that lets you choose different styles for viewing the 3D video. The various options are : red/cyan,focus thru, cross-eyed, mirror split , left image only, right image only and more.

This development is being done by the Google employee Peter in his free time and as he says there are lesser chances of speedy advancements to the project, but this could surely add a new dimension to web viewing. The various ways to view such videos:
- yt3d:enable=true Enables the view mode. (obviously you’ve already discovered this)
- yt3d:aspect=3:4 Sets the aspect of the encoded video.
- yt3d:swap=true Swaps the left and right sources.
