Nokia N900 is mobile internet device based on the Maemo Platform. With Maemo 5, Nokia is taking the Linux desktop environment and making it work on a pocket-sized device. N900 has an overall more touch-friendly interface than its predecessors and a customizable home screen which mixes application icons with shortcuts and widgets. It has slide out 3-row backlit keypad and has fewer hardware buttons, it makes use of the touchscreen to display on-screen buttons, for example, to accept, reject and end a call.
