Sony has launched an e-book reader called Sony Reader that uses an electronic paper display developed by E Ink Corporation. The reader is capable of displaying Adobe PDFs, RSS newsfeeds, personal documents, blogs and JPEGs. It also allows MP3 and AAc music files playback.Sony reader uses an i-Tunes like interface to purchase boose books from Sony connect ebook store, but it is only for the US and Canada.
It has 166 dpi (200 dpi in 5 inch version PRS-300) resolution, eight levels of grayscale, is viewable in direct sunlight, requires no power to maintain a static image, and is usable in portrait or landscape orientation. The navigation is user friendly with only few buttons giving you all the access you need to operate the device.
This model comes in blue, silver, and rose, and retains the look, feel, and interface of earlier versions of Readers.
