Sony Ericsson has recently unveiled two smartphones under the Popular Xperia Series. Both of these are Android based and run on the v2.3 Gingerbread. Here is a quick sneak peak into their features and specs.
1. Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray
Xperia Ray features a 3.3″ LED blacklit LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 854. It is powered with a 1GHz Scorpian processor and an Adreno 205 GPU, it also has 512MB RAM. It has integrated Sony BRAVIA Mobile engine, Timescape UI and on the outside, it has a scratch resistant surface. There is a 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash, and has features such as Touch focus, face detection, Geotagging. It is also capable of recording HD 720p videos and you can also use LED light during video shooting.

Xperia Ray comes with 300MB of internal memory and supports Micro SD card up to 32GB, 4GB micro SD card comes on board. In the connectivity it has Wi-fi with Wi-Fi Hotspot and DLNA support, Bluetooth, 3G and Micro USB. It also has A-GPS and Integrated Google maps. It will be available in Black, White, Pink and Gold colors.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is scheduled to release in Q3 of 2011 and its estimated price in India is INR 28000 i.e USD 620.
2. Sony Ericsson Xperia Active
Xperia Active features a 3.0″ LED blacklit LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480. It is a water resistant phone and can kept under 1 meter of water for 30min. It is powered with a 1GHz Scorpian processor, it also has 512MB RAM. It has integrated Sony BRAVIA Mobile engine, Timescape UI and on the outside, it has a scratch resistant surface. There is a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash, and has features such as Touch focus, face detection, Geotagging, red eye correction. It is also capable of recording HD 720p videos and you can also use LED light during video shooting.

Xperia Ray comes with 320MB of internal memory and supports Micro SD card up to 32GB, 2GB micro SD card comes on board. In the connectivity it has Wi-fi with Wi-Fi Hotspot and DLNA support, Bluetooth, 3G and Micro USB. It also has A-GPS and Integrated Google maps. It will be available in Orange/Black and White/Black color combinations. 3D gaming and Motion gaming are also available in this phone.
Xperia Ray is scheduled to be released in Q3 of 2011 and its estimated price in India is INR 23000 i.e USD 510
