Many people referred to 10th September as dooms day because of the experiment carried out by LHC (Large Hadron Collider). Well nothing went wrong in that experiment until now but google has been squeezed in the LHC. Don’t worry its just the homepage of google I am talking about. Google has changed its home page logo as shown above. If you click on the logo, it will provide results for LHC(Large Hadron Collider). Google might have done this for the ease of people as the queries relating LHC were searched most in the past few days.

Well its time for some testing the latest trendy Chrome. It has been a mixed experience while testing Chrome since its release day. Though some users( i’m also one of them ;) ) will always go with the fact that a Google product is always awesome, still there are some holes in the this big ship named chrome that could eventually result into a flop show.Google’s chrome is good but it is not the best if we compare it to Mozilla’s firefox.

The only feature in chrome which is a clear winner over firefox is the speed issue. That also is unfair comparison because chrome at the moment is just like a beautifull sleek bullet that is small and really fast as there are no addons to customize the browsing experience, whereas firefox is like a loaded bomb that fullfills almost your every need. Lets discuss some ‘not so good ‘ features of chrome and see how firefox has an edge over it.

Chrome took 1% of browser market in just 9 hours of its launch

Yes its true, just under 24 hours of its launch google’s chrome has captured 1% of browser market share. It has really started with a bang. To be more precise chrome took only 9 hours to reach that landmark. The hourly tracking of chrome on Market Share has revealed that Chrome passed 0.5% in just 2 hours. By midnight (EDT) it had surpassed 1% of the market share. By next day 4 a.m., it had hit 1.48% share, and after that it continued at 1% for the rest of the day. Continue Reading »

Transfer data at a whooping speed of 614MBps with USB 3.0

usb-3.0 Intel has unveiled the new USB technology called USB 3.0. It is far superior than the current USB 2.0. USB 3.0 has 10 times the bandwidth of existing USB 2.0 connections. It is expected to hit the markets in 2009 or 2010. The transfer speed of USB 3.0 is really jaw dropping, which is about 4.8Gbit/s that is 614MByte/s. The time required for data transfers will be reduced dramatically, for example transferring a movie of 30 GB will take around 74 seconds( 1 min 14 sec) in USB 3.0 whereas it will take around 17 to 18 minutes with USB 2.0.

Facebook crowned as worlds no.1 social networking site

Facebook has dethroned Myspace to become worlds top social networking site with 132 million unique visitors in the month of June, according to the web tracking firm ComScore. Of 132 million 63% are outside North America which represents the huge international growth of Facebook.Facebook has an annual growth rate of 153% v/s Myspace’s 3%.
