Google Suggest - a search feature that provides real time query suggestions as you type into a search box will now be available by default on Google.com Homepages. Earlier, the Google Suggest Feature was there in Google labs and was used by a Google Search in Firefox, Firefox Addon Customize Google to add Suggestions feature to normal Google Search in Firefox.

Mozilla today announced winners of its Extend Firefox 3 contest after reviewing over 100 extensions.
One of the grand prize winner of Best New Extensions is Pencil by Dương Thành An, which adds GUI prototyping and diagramming to Firefox using the Firefox’s SVG support for rendering and scripting.

Intel has unveiled the new USB technology called USB 3.0. It is far superior than the current USB 2.0. USB 3.0 has 10 times the bandwidth of existing USB 2.0 connections. It is expected to hit the markets in 2009 or 2010. The transfer speed of USB 3.0 is really jaw dropping, which is about 4.8Gbit/s that is 614MByte/s. The time required for data transfers will be reduced dramatically, for example transferring a movie of 30 GB will take around 74 seconds( 1 min 14 sec) in USB 3.0 whereas it will take around 17 to 18 minutes with USB 2.0.

Secure Computing, a company providing enterprise security solutions has published a report on Internet threats for the second quarter of 2008. According to the report, USA tops the list of spam sending countries accounting for 16.5% of the spam while Russia is second on list with around 8% contribution.
These top 10 countries account for 55% of global spam. Besides US and Russia, India, Korea, Argentina, Germany were also on the top spam sender’s list.

Yahoo Buzz, the Digg like social content rating website from Yahoo is now open to all. Earlier, this service was available to only selected 400 publishers. Now anyone can submit a story on Yahoo Buzz and if it gets featured on front page of Yahoo Buzz, it could drive enormous amount of Traffic to the publisher just like Digg.

Hey, now you just need a phone call to wake up your pc from its power saving sleep state. This is a great news for people who like hibernating their pc’s rather than switching it off. Well this concept is different than hibernation or standby techniques as it reduces the total power consumption by 85% in it’s sleep state. A normal fully on desktop pc consumes more than 60 watts and some consumes even above 100 watts, but with this techonolgy enabled, pc will consume only 10 watts in the sleep state.
