Here is a good news for Friendfeed users. Friendfeed now allows you to receive updates via IM.  This feature would surely lead to increase in Friendfeed user base as visiting website to see updates is too much an effort. But since IM clients are open almost whole day, now updates can be easily recieved.

Friendfeed now provides updates from your friends in real-time in your Friendfeed home page. Now you could just open your Friendfeed homepage and sit back to see the action as the page automatically adds recent updates  from your friends.

FriendFeed today released a beta version of its newly designed interface to all users. The new interface is available at http://beta.friendfeed.com and will soon be available on main site.
Below are some of the new features that are added to redesigned FriendFeed.

Since their launch, rooms have become one of the most popular functionality of FriendFeed. FriendFeed has now flavored up its rooms by allowing room administrators to import content from blogs or popular websites just like a normal FriendFeed user does.

Friendfeed has added a new type of room to its room types. Now your Friendfeed room can be Semi-Public which would allow only administrators to post new entries. Visitors of the room may only view or comment on entries.
