Microsoft today released a security update fro Internet Explorer fixing the flaw detected in Internet Explorer that could allow a remote person to take control of your Windows system when you visit a website with malicious code.
The patch is also available in automatic updates now.

It is recommend that you install this update to fix any security risk. Here’s a direct link to download this security update.

Microsoft announced last night that Windows 7 - the codename used for next release of windows Operating system would be its official name. This is the first time Microsoft will use a codename as official Product name for any Windows Operating System.

The microsoft-yahoo deal which was said to be dead a few weeks ago, isn’t really dead. Billionaire investor Carl Icahn a major shareholder of yahoo has written an open letter to the shareholders of yahoo in which he has discussed his meeting with Steve Ballmer CEO of microsoft. According to him microsoft is still interested in an agreement with yahoo but the deal can be done only if a new yahoo board is elected. This was also confirmed by microsoft.

Many people feared that technical support for xp will be over after 30th june of this year, as microsoft has announced this date as the “end of sales” date for windows xp. But now microsoft has officially announced that it will continue to provide technical support for xp till April 2014 including security and other critical updates. Xp will be available even after 30th june, but not in retail. It will be available for someĀ buisness areas where xp is required. (more…)

In a recent Security Advisory, Microsoft has suggested windows users to stop using Apple’s Safari browser on all versions of Windows XP and Vista. According to advisory, a threat has been detected which allows remote code execution on windows machine if Safari browser is installed.
The advisory says that windows users should not use Safari browser unless a security patch is released.
